Help us fill the pod and stomp out hunger in North Carolina !

On Monday we will be kicking off the “Students Against Hunger” Food Drive in conjunction with the North Carolina Food Bank.    This is a very important service project in which our entire school participates each year.

Bring in non-perishable canned goods such as peanut butter, canned meals: stews, soups, tuna, ravioli, etc., canned fruits and vegetables, rice and cereal. Classes may also collect money.   Every dollar collected will equal 1 pound.
All classes that collect 350 pounds between Monday, November 9th, and Friday, November 13th will be given a coupon for a chick-fil-a breakfast sandwich and the class will be entered into a drawing to each win a Millbrook Maniac t-shirt for that week.

Saturday Millbrook won 1st palce in Game 7 of the WRAL Brain Game, so that has earned us a spot in the Brain Game playoffs January or February!!  The episode will air on Saturday, December 26th.  The kids worked really hard - originally there were 12 that wanted to be on tv and only 3 spots so we had some playoffs.  Read more about our adventures this year in the upcoming PTSA newsletter (December issue).
