MOCK TRIAL

This organization prepares for competition with other schools.   A team of 7 to 8 students prepares the defense and prosecution of a given case; the students take the roles of witnesses and attorneys.   Regional competition is February 9, 2008.
Mock Trial meets each Wednesday in Room 114.  Meetings generally last until 4:00.

NEWS

Millbrook's Mock Trial team for 2006-2007 participated in State Competition in Charlotte on January 27-28, 2007.  Millbrook won one round and was very close in its other two rounds.  Our scores were higher than at last year's State Competition and this school year's Regional Competition. 
 
Three students won individual awards.
Beatrice Campbell--Best Attorney
Bill Armstrong--Best Witness
Tripp Green--Best Witness in two rounds
 
Other members are Mark Skvara, Laura Green, Justin Smith, Ben Thirakul, and Andrew Owens.


On November 18, 2006, Millbrook's Mock Trial team placed 2nd in Regional Competition at Charlotte.  The entire team performed well.
 
Bill Armstrong won a Best Attorney and a Best Witness award.
 
Tripp Green won a Best Attorney and 2 Best Witness awards.

Meeting Dates:  Wednesday and Thursday

Times:  Generally 2:30 to 4:00.  Some Thursday evenings the group meets with the attorney advisor.
