General Information

Drivers Education is taught in two phases. Student must first complete a 30 hour classroom phase, which includes at least 6 hours of Drug and Alcohol Education. Classes are held after school each month, usually for three hours (2:30-5:30) over a ten day period. Students must also pass a DMV sponsored eye exam before being allowed to drive, which will be given during class.

The second phase consists of a 12 hour Behind the Wheel session. Students will be assigned to a BTW Instructor upon completing the 30 hour class and passing the eye exam. Students will be contacted by and scheduled through their assigned BTW Instructor. A typical session might run for 4 hours over 3 days. Student will drive for 1 hour, then rotate to the back seat and watch their partner drive for 1 hour.

Students can register for class by filling out a registration form found in our main office, the Drivers Ed office or on-line. Turn this form into either office and you will be contacted via email or phone prior to the class start date. Please only register for classes held during the current semester (Fall=Aug thru Dec, Spring=Jan thru June).
