Current Membership #: 20 Dues: None Grade Levels: 9-12 Prerequisite/Recommended Courses (if any): The teacher/advisors have a real interest genocide education, but there are no student prerequisites. Application Process: None Membership Requirements: Knowledge of government and civics is very helpful; personal will to bring an end to genocide around the world, and motivation to assist victims of genocide. Grade Requirements: None Club History: Started in November 2005. In 2006-2007 the club raised over $1,000 for Dimes for Darfur and sponsored a Leadership Development Forum for area high schools with Sponsorship from the NC Holocaust Foundation. Scholarships: Club advisors actively support students in the DAC to pursue scholarships, and many of the officers have received full or partial scholarships District Association: We actively cooperate with other high schools and colleges (e.g. UNC-Chapel Hill STAND and NC State African American Club), who are interested in raising public awareness about genocide National Association: Save Darfur Coalition, Holocaust Foundation, and originally founded by UNC-Chapel Hill students (STAND)
