Personal Bio : Nephitearya Bailey began
teaching at Millbrook in 2005. Originally
from Wilmington, NC, she graduated from Meredith
College with a B.A. in History and a minor
in Theater. While in college, she traveled
throughout Europe and Africa and loves to
use her pictures in her lessons. Ms. Bailey
is the co-advisor for the Model United Nations
club and teaches World History in the Wildcat
Academy.
Personal bio: Matt Crawley teaches
U.S. History and Psychology/Sociology. A
former Millbrook student and graduate of UNC-Chapel
Hill, Mr. Crawley fervently supports the
Tar Heels. He has taught at Millbrook
since 2002. Mr. Crawley is also
the advisor for Sophomore Class Council. Outside
of school, his number one priority is spending
time with his beautiful wife, Lisa.
Chris East

Personal bio: Amy Hood began
teaching At Millbrook in 1999. Originally
from Cape Cod MA, she graduated from Gordon
College, a private institute outside of Boston. Ms.
Hood is married to the wonderful Mr. Eric
Hood and is a diehard Boston Red Sox fan. She
teaches World History and US History.
Gene Kikolski

Personal bio: Gene Kikolski began
teaching at Millbrook in 1993. Originally
from Toledo, Ohio, he graduated from the
University of Toledo in 1965 and earned a
Master’s Degree in 1968 from the same
university. Mr. Kikolski teaches AP Economics,
AP Government & Politics, and US History.
He received his National Board for Professional
Teaching Standards credential in 1999.

Personal bio: LOV/RIR and Honors U.S. History teacher Ms. Lindy Poling is a strong supporter of the “Community-in-the-Classroom” approach and has contributed to a variety of national publications. In 2004, Ms. Poling was one of 20 teachers nationwide chosen for the USA Today All-USA Teacher First Team. She was recently recognized as the 2006 North Carolina History Teacher of the Year and 2007 National History Club Advisor of the Year. Brian Schneidewind
Degree(s) & Awarding University: Michigan State University
Personal bio: Mr. Schneidewind was born and raised in Lansin, Michigan where he went on to attend Michigan State University. He also coached track and field, cross county and soccer while in Michigan. He enjoys traveling, the outdoors and music.
Personal bio: Valerie Schreiber has
been teaching at MHS since the fall of 1999. She
is a graduate of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. She
received her National Board certification in
2005. Ms. Schreiber teaches Civics
and Economics and Honors Law and Justice and
currently serves as advisor for Student Government.

Personal bio: Kelley Walker began
teaching at Millbrook in 1990. Originally from
Raleigh, she graduated from the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has remained
an avid Tar Heel ever since. Ms. Walker teaches
A. P. European History and World History. She
received her National Board for Professional
Teaching Standards credential in 2001.
Personal bio: Danny Wilkins is
a 1972 graduate of Millbrook High School
and a 1976 graduate of Barton College. He
is a member of the Millbrook Service Club
and the Barton College Athletic Hall of Fame.
As a teacher at MHS since 1982 he helped
to start the Paideia program in 1987 and
the girls’ soccer team in 1983. He
has coached the boys’ team since the
fall of 1983. He presently teaches World
History and Paideia with Mrs Cindy Kisner.
He is married to the former Dean of Students
Mary Ellen Taft.
