Congratulations to the Math Department's own Dail Midgette who has been awarded a prestigious Kenan Fellowship.  The Kenan Fellowship is a two-year professional development experience during which teachers work alongside university faculty in the development of a curriculum project designed to broaden students' learning experiences in the classroom.  Along with the project, the cohort of teachers will engage in leadership development experiences which have included Fireside Chats with the First Lady of North Carolina, UNC system leader Erskine Bowles, Lt. Governor Bev Perdue, and other influential leaders in education (K-12 and post-secondary), business, government, and the judiciary

Kenan Fellows: "Millbrook High's John Pritchett has formed partnerships with university professors to foster classroom innovation." Christy Barnett reports.
