Bio: An avid runner, Mr. Lindsay and his wife are actively involved with the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and participate in various fund-raisers for charitable causes. Mr. Lindsay also volunteers yearly to shave his head through the St. Baldrick's Foundation to raise funds to find a cure for all types of children's cancer. He firmly believes that we all should live the example of what we want others to be. His favorite quote follows:
"What a piece of work is man! how noble in reason! how infinite in faculty! in form and moving how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the world, the paragon of animals!" ". - (Shakespeare's Hamlet Act II, Scene II)

Bio -I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and then spent the majority of my career in Virginia before arriving in Raleigh. I have been teaching for 17 years—all levels in grades 8th through 12th. My husband Carl is a professor of Middle Grades Language Arts Education at NC State, and we have two children, Hannah and Camden, who constantly keep us on our toes. I am a die-hard University of Virginia fan, and am happy to be surrounded by ACC schools. If I have any spare time I can be found playing outside with my kids or at the gym working out. My favorite place is definitely the beach—I spend most of my summer at Bethany Beach in Delaware—and although I won’t name a favorite book, I have a strong top five list! |

Bio: I attended Pennsylvania State University , where I originally applied as a computer engineering major before changing to the education profession. I am an avid reader and writer; I've published fiction and poetry in a collegiate literary magazine, and I’m hoping to publish my first full-length book relatively soon. In the summer, you’ll likely find me roaming around in another country; I've visited over 12 of them so far. I've had a long history of cats as school mascots; I was a wildcat in high school, a lion in college, and at Millbrook I'm a wildcat again! |
